Yan Akoya - Amedia
Yan Akoya is a Manchester drummer with a restless streak.
He came up through hip hop, sharpening his sense of pocket and the discipline of restraint. Then he threw himself into prog metal, all intricate time signatures, blast beats, and technical demand. That range feeds his alt rock playing now, where precision and grit sit side by side. He currently holds down the kit for Fever Dream Kills.
He plays Amedia cymbals for their character. Hand-hammered, dark, unmistakably raw, with a voice that cuts through a mix and stands up to whatever the music demands.
