Nathan Hawdon - Amedia & Balbex
Nath is a musician and teacher based in East Anglia. After playing guitar from the age of 9, Nath went on to start drumming at 13 years old, playing in Rock and punk bands throughout his teens. He went on to work at Anglia Drum Centre (RIP) where he honed his craft and began playing reading and session gigs around Norfolk and Suffolk. After studying at the British Academy of New Music in London, He moved to the big smoke and continued to work as a session musician with various acts.
After moving back to Norfolk he then toured England and Europe playing Djembe/percussion and other instruments in Ska/Beach Pop band Dumbfoundus. Nath has always had a passion for education, and currently teaches private instrument lessons from his home studio in Gorleston, Gt Yarmouth, as well as teaching in several schools specialising in vunerable young people, learning difficulties and mental health.
When he's not teaching, Nath is out on the road with UK Ska/Punk band Faintest Idea, with whom he's completed two US tours, two European tours, as well as countless UK shows and festivals over the last 2 years (Boomtown, Rebellion, Manchester Punk Fest and many more) with no signs of slowing down! You can catch him playing out with Faintest Idea all over the place, with a huge Canadian tour just confirmed for early 2025, as well as loads of shows with other bands Dumbfoundus and The Aspen Road band!"
