Professional MD Drummer for The Kennie Simon Band / Studio Session Drummer and World Champion Drummer Gunniness Book of Records Drummer.
Carl started drumming at the age of 3 years old and joined The Triumph Motors Pipe Band age 9 and won many drumming trophies. At 18 he started doing sessions work and became the leading drummer of West Midlands Police Pipe Band who won the European Championships. In 1993 after appearing on BBC TV’s ‘Live and Kicking’ Carl broke the Guinness Book of Records Worlds Fastest Drumming title hitting 400 drums in 20.50 seconds at The Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.
At The 2019 World Pipe Band Championships Carl was part of The Glenrothes Pipe Band which won Best Drum Corp Best Pipe Band Champion of Champions Drum Corp and Champion of Champions Pipe Band 4 Majors in one day, an amazing achievement.
Carl has played on many live records with Little Girl Screaming, Push, Fear of Silence, The Matt Cook Album, Explosive Magic by Glider backing vocals and the Roulette Album By Scottish Artist Gordon Banks.
For over 30 years Carl has been teaching drumming. He has run the Rock Star Drumming Academy in Fife Scotland for the last 19 years and has done many Master Classes with Mr Dom Falmero including Terry Bozzi Remo Day in 1993
Carl is Music Director and Drummer with Hot Chocolate singer Mr Kennie Simon Live Band.
